Freda Five: Pot Yer Tits Away Luv’s Emma Low

Posted on: 10 October 2018

Pot Yer Tits Away Luv is a pottery company that creates custom-made, unique tit pots that represent the realistic feminine form in all of its diverse glory. Launched in 2017, demand for these pots have grown and grown, and we can see why- we cannot wait to get our hands on these ceramic tits!

  1. Hey Emma! We are OBSESSED with your tit pots! Can you tell us what first inspired you to create them and what drives you to keep going?

The first pot I ever made was for my boyfriend as a representation of myself. I was sick of seeing the same perky “perfect” tits everywhere so was inspired to make something that felt more relatable. I never expected the pots to be anything other than a hobby, I just wanted to do something creative in my spare time. Even though it was a side project I wanted the pots to be inclusive. I doubt I’ll ever feel like I’ve made a pot to represent everyone as body type diversity is so vast! That is what drives me to continue making!

  1. What’s the biggest thing you have learnt from creating Pot Yer Tits Away Luv?

I’ve learnt how much faith I should have in myself. I’ve never been one for self-promotion and actually I find it hard to celebrate who I am. By creating work that celebrates others it’s encouraged me to be more confident and through my success to believe in myself. It’s also opened up my eyes to how privileged I am! I’m making a conscious effort to be way more aware of who I am. It’s important to be open and honest about where you come from and to understand and listen to people who aren’t as privileged. Change in the world only comes from people like myself checking who they are, admitting wrongdoing, trying harder next time and doing what’s best for everyone not just themselves.

  1. What would you say- if anything- is the biggest stigma you face in your industry?

I wouldn’t say I face that much stigma, I do occasionally get negative comments usually from a place of misunderstanding. There are a lot of people in the world who are happy with the way things are so if you’re pushing for change it’s going to cause some backlash, I see that as a positive thing though. It certainly helps me to feel more passionately about the work I do.

  1. You run Pot Yer Tits Away Luv full-time, which is amazing- what would be your biggest piece of advice for someone wanting to go full-time with their passion project?

I do! I think the best advice I have to give would be to not expect too much in the beginning, success comes in all shapes and sizes so celebrate even the tiniest of victories and then push yourself to do even better next time! It should be a gradual thing that makes you feel good!

  1. Finally, what’s your top tip when you are dealing with PMS?

I used to really struggle with PMS, I actually think I might have PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) but haven’t looked into it properly yet. I try really hard to acknowledge the symptoms as what they are rather than what I worry they might be. It’s important for me as someone with mental health problems to identify what is causing me to feel the way I do. I like to talk (absolute shite most of the time) so I always try to be very communicative about how I feel so that others can understand and support me. My top tip would be to involve people in the way you feel and why, that way they can help you through it!
