We know what goes into our food, our beauty products and our clothes but how many of us stop and check the ingredients of our tampons, the product closest to our body that we will use every month for thirty years of our lives?
Actually, the real question is why not?
For years, there’s been no law requiring big brands to tell you what their products are made of so adverts that tell us about their ‘cotton-like’ comfort make us think they’re made of cotton. In reality, very little cotton or natural material is used at all.
We don’t think you should have any ingredients in your period care that you can’t pronounce. So our tampons only have one ingredient- organic cotton.
Our pads, made in Scandinavia, are made of 70% natural, renewable materials. We don’t use any nasty chemicals and use wood pulp as the absorbing material instead.
