Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is a rare but life-threatening bacterial infection caused by Staphylococcus Aureus and Streptococcus Pyogenes. If you have one or more of the following warning signs, remove your tampon and visit a doctor immediately.

• Flu-like symptoms

• Diarrhoea

• Feeling faint or dizzy

• Sudden high temperature

• Sunburn-like rash
